it does seem that way, but doesn't, it fits the board tight and with the slightest pressure tweaks it straight and your good to nail. Anymore we work in two's so one guy is tweaking while another nails and number three is setting studs and getting headers assembled, but even solo it works good once you get the hang

I cut the tip of my thumb off with a band saw when I was younger. Was not a fun experience but no where near what nail in the bone must feel like.

That was the first thing I thought of after seeing Assa's picture. Couldn't remember who it was.

Luckily mine was just skin and some muscle. Assas friend might have a harder recovery with bone damage like that.

I feel like you would still be able to move your hand after they pulled the nail out. I would be afraid to move my hand if I burnt it as bad as you did.

It went through some fazes that's for sure. Still have a hard time welding aluminum if that hand gets a little warm.

Hot glue pot at work. Scraping overflow off the lid and the scraper slipped. Dipped in for about a millisecond but aparently they make glue so it sticks to stuff no matter what temp it is.

And it doesn't matter how hard you shake your hand, glue will not fling off like water does...

Funny part of the story. The docs at the urgent care had nothing to get the nail out with because it was so stuck in the bone. Buddy had to get a pair of pliers from his toolbox for them to use

Since everybody's sharing hand injury photos I wish I had a pic of the time the old log splitter got hold of my hand. My buddy said i fainted and dropped like a sack of potatoes when I saw the bone sticking out. It was fuckin nasty.

Yeah, he's got to see an orthopedic guy on Monday. Said he would've been better off if it went through the first knuckle bone as well as the second, because apparently it ripped all the tendons and cartilage and what not in the open space of that first knuckle. His finger's curled into a pretty good hook right now.

Is that his full time job? Hopefully he can still do some kind of work while recovering. Looks like tough times ahead either way...prayers for him and the family.
