Missing Flight 370 theories

Read the link and it would seem that expanding the search is not the proper way to go about this. That plane is less than 1000 miles from where it took off imo. It's in a hanger getting stripped. The passengers and crew...you say it.

Make a list of facilities capable of hiding a 777 within 1200 miles of where the plane took off and start eliminating them one by one.

Doesn't have to be a facility. They could hide it with camo netting and it wouldn't be seen from the air

The problem is that it is a 777, you need a place to land it first.

The problem isn't landing it necessarily. They can stop relatively short compared to the space they need to take off.

Its also possible the plane is getting a transponder from a known friendly aircraft so it can make a delivery....in that case it would need to be refueled, then take off from a strip.

Landing any old where there's a 5000 flat spot is feasible. Taking off again? Not so much.
Don't rule out terrorism and foreign help. That plane could reappear in a very nasty way.

I don't think you are going to be able to land a 500,000 to 600,000 pound aircraft on any old 5,000 foot long flat spot. You can probably crash one, but landing would probably be an issue.

no problem. Also, I would imagine landing on dirt would suck up all kinds of shit into the engines. I don't see how the plane would be flyable again.
