Some repaints

My shoulder is good enough to do some work now so I got a few repaints ready for delivery. These are a few out of several dozen I have ready for a guy.

Yeah, airbrushed the hens, started with all dark brown flocking. The bill is orange #20 from Lock Stock and Barrel...flat marine enamel. http://www.lockstockbarrell.com/

Thanks. I've done some airbrushing, but haven't done any flocking. Painting over the flocking just doesn't make sense in my mind (I need to see/do it).

Does it take paint well, or is using different flocking colors the preferred method?

I'm going to give it a go this off season.

It holds up very well. You'll need to do multiple coats to get the full color. Just do 2-3 coats and you're golden. I will say you'll need to experiment with paint colors both under the flocking (basically the "glue"), as well as the paint color over the flocking. The flocking changes the color somewhat. Just put some flocking on a decoy and start playing with it. When you run out of room, reflock it and start over. It's really not that hard.
