Satellite Radio

Who has it? Is it worth it? Mobile has really shitty radio channels and I've been thinking about trying this out.

Olly if you've got an AUX jack in your car and a smartphone, download IHeartRadio and forget all about paying money to Sirius.

best thing ever. I have Sirius radio. I love it. You always have music, talk, sports, etc. wherever you travel without having to flipping channels to find a local station. My wife likes the Latin channels. I listen to classic rock, 90's alternative and a host of others. You can see the artist and the song on the screen. Comes with a remote. I find real value in it.

Yea this is of course what I have been doing. I personally find it very annoying to have to fool with my phone while in the truck not to mention just the annoyance of having to plug the phone up every time I get in the truck, then worrying about it draining my battery, and using my data plan which I always seen to come close to going over.

I don't know why I didn't think about satellite radio until just now but I think it might be the ticket, just wanting others that have it's opinion if they ever actually use it or if it's a waste of money.

I love it. I travel to California and New Mexico a lot for work and love being able to listen to music without having to search for stations from one BFE area to the next. Another plus is they carry all the sports I have been listening to the whole NCAA tournament on it while at work.

I personally don't like satellite radio. I leave the cords in the car and just plug the phone in when I hop in, doesn't bother me. Charges the phone and then on top of radio apps I've got my music, podcasts, etc that I can't get through satellite radio. I have an unlimited data plan though so I don't have to worry about that.

Unlimited data, a Bluetooth enabled receiver, and commercial free Pandora.

Charge the phone while you go...

Satellite radio is worth it if you don't have the unlimited data/Bluetooth option.

FF. Teach me how to do that Bluetooth stuff on my truck. One of the clients had it where he was controlling my stereo with his smartphone. That's pretty cool.

I am not able to comprehend that you PAY for radio.
My dad has it, I had a free 3 month trial, wife has a 3 month trial now. I don't like it enough to pay for it.

So I guess if you have it you love it and if you don't have it you think it's stupid. I think I'll be getting it, the channel line up looks good and it's only 15 bucks a month.

Once you sign up and time to renew again tell them it's too much and you want to drop. They pretty much cut the price in half if you do at least a few months at a time. Always call the customer advocacy line to deal with them instead of the over seas line. They fuck you around all day and will get a different answer and amount you owe every time you transfer. Customer advocacy tell you straight and take care of you.

As others have already said, but put one more in the "yes" column. I kept it in the work truck so we could listen going job to job, I could also tune the dewalt jobsite radio to the right fm broadcast and play it on construction sites. Very nice on road trips, never having to search for a station in an unfamiliar town, and X2 on telling customer service you want to cancel and they'll hack the price.
I kept it til they dropped Bubba though, after that I let it go.

I'll throw another on the yes column. And absolutely ignore them when it comes time to renew. Sirius and I have come to an understanding, they answer is no on renewal until the price is 5 bucks a month.
