Well, my ball mill and homemade black powder may qualify, now that I think about it.

Is it legal to grow your own tobacco?

Kinda doubt it.

The pilgrims had to make a law that you must plant enough food to take care of yourself before you could plant tobacco (cash crop).
Apparently some ppl wanted to plant it in their yards and everywhere to get a little extra cash. (and did)

Yes. But it's really, really difficult.

Really?
When I was a small boy I went to Tennessee and stayed at my great-uncles house. He grew tobacco and I always wanted to pick a leaf or two but they were like NOOOOOO!, the man will get you for that if you get caught. "taxes"

So you can't grow it for personal use without paying taxes on it? I wonder how they're going to handle weed when it is finally legalized.

I read tobacco strips the land of its nutrients. It's a tough crop.

Yes, you can grow it for personal use, it is hard on the soil, but more than that, it's a difficult crop to grow- seems susceptible to many many diseases and bugs. Which is ironic, since nicotine is a very good natural pesticide.

Monsanto will hybridize it and make it where seeds are sky high (priced) like everything else they touch.

I absolutely love it. It's about time somebody shows the government the same amount of respect the government shows them.

When I lived in eastern NC a lot of my neighbors had tobacco allotments.
Watching them wearing hazmat suits while spraying a poison gas into the nursery beds soil that were covered with a plastic sheeting was something else. They would sterilize the ground in order to prevent the seedlings from being attacked by anything. Once the plants were sprouted to a certain size they would transplant them to bigger fields.
Very labor intensive. A couple of times in the fall, high school opening was postponed a week or two until the tobacco crop was all in.

Reading the information on the lawyer's, it appears the idiots at EP Armory never had a final determination from the ATF and sold their product anyway. They are complete jackasses for doing this. I really don't care what happens to them now. They misled me and a lot of other people.

Retroactively enforcing a gun law (or any law for that matter) sets a very dangerous precedent.

seriously?? for all legal reasons, they sold a piece of PLASTIC!! by ATF's standards, thier pieces of plastic were not firearms. why the fuck does every manufacturer have to get "approval" from them anyway? arent they the ones who deemed 80% complete to not be a firearm, therefore, negating their entire involvment in this?

you talking like that kinda scares me. are you saying that if i sell a hunk of aluminum to a buddy that has the rough ouline shape of a gun, i am a complete jackass??

Why is the plastic one considered a firearm but the Aluminum ones are not?

They say it is a completed lower since the plastic is two different colors.
