Why? Can't be worse than Carlyle Lake here.
That lake is avg. 5' deep and has miles of open water. 15 mph winds and sirens will sound. That means get off, get off, get off the lake or you will die!
Hard to imagine but yes...Carlyle will kill you with a quickness. Many have died.

Coffee County Lake is the same here, shuts down over 15 or 20 mph winds. Quite a few have died there, it is a cooling lake for a nuke power plant, it has a current and stays open in winter. Awesome fishing though. John Redmond reservoir averages 6' deep, north or south winds make it rougher than shit, 3 hunters were killed there last year, dumasses.
