Better than 200-300 BBs lighting your spread up?

Not far from me there's usually a few thousand BB's all season, I've never targeted them once, given the option of being in my layout blind in a marsh or getting the snot best out of me on the saltwater I'll chose the dry comfy layout blind. Also, I really love eating mallards, black ducks and teal.
For me calling the birds and working them into the spread is 99% of the fun. But to be fair having divers dump into upwind side of the spread right in your face is damn exciting.
Well said. Mallards make you feel like you got some swagger. If I'm lucky someone I know will invite me to hunt divers. It's something I've not done yet and the clock's ticking.
It would be nice to try and live some of the diver stories I've read. It sounds like a lot of fun too if you don't drown in a tiny little boat miles and miles from shore.

Those guys are the REAL duck hunters...there, I said it finally.

AB, if you make it out west, I'll take you diver hunting, from water and from land. Best time is December and January but, the very best for BBs is January. If I have time, we could probably go seaduck hunting up north too. Have you ever shot a Harlie?

Thanks.
I've shot a Goldeneye that was lost in a central Illinois drainage ditch and a bb or two. Couple canvasbacks but that's about it.
I live in between flyways. Duck desert.

Not so much.
There was a bunch of traffic back n forth. Ppl seeing what we said and what they said and a tiny bit of chatter but in general it appears peaceful. Its early.

I think it's ironic that you said that you wanted to come back and play nice and not be hated, wanted to bury the hatchet with a lot of folks. As the old saying goes, actions will always speak much louder than words. If you want to act like a prick then by all means do so, it holds no bearing to me nor could I care. Do not twist my words in this statement though, I enjoy both forums for different reasons. The pot stirring IMO is childish at best. Like Tman stated earlier, if you don't like DHC don't log in, the same goes for here and olly will say the same as well. No one is holding a gun to your head making you post.

I didnt say I didn't drink. Just not while I'm hunting. If it's a nice afternoon hunt i will put a few back for sure.

You seemed like such a nice guy standing in the weeds on the river bank. I think you were out of your element which kinda explains your shooting, but you have a purity voice and as memory serves,
You can actually run a duck call.

I thought I was being nice. I meant it when I said he was a good caller. I liked Kentucky, we visited quite a bit that day. I will point out that no one else has put a gun to anyones head to post xyz number of posts on this thread. In fact, I would say this thread has a lot of interest. Actions DO speak louder than words.

As for his opinion, we all are entitled to one. Thats what forums are all about.

Well, I guess I'm banned on DHC now. I was browsing over here, bu had DHC open in another tab. I clicked back over to see I had a new PM, and when I clicked on it gave me the login page. When I went to log in, it told me the username was inactive. Anyone over there know how long it is? I guess it's permanent?

Looks like you're banned. I tried to search your posts to see what you did, but you no longer exist.

You'll probably have to email them to find out how long.

It shouldn't matter. If they are going to have those rules they should enforce them all the time of never. There shouldn't be picking and choosing of when they are enforced.

They are banning IPs left and right at a high rate. You probably were mistakenly banned. It happens...part of being a huge forum ran by appointees.

Wrong. If I talk about cabelas having a sale is fine but...if I post a link that says cabelas sale...and the link leads here. .is not.
