I was watching a show about the life of Jonny Cash and they had an interview from the guy from NiN (Trent, right?), he said that he thought Cash did better with that song than they originally did.

I am a big nine inch nails fan, and I've always liked that song, but nobody can deny the power that Johnny put into that song. Even Trent Reznor said it felt wrong when he first listened to it, but that he stated to well up when he saw the video

The Residents! They have been around since the 60's. None of their albums bear their names and i'm still pretty sure to this day that their identity isnt pubblicly known.

Some of the voices sound like other musicians, like les claypool, and les covers residents songs, but claims no participation in it. Pretty cool to have 40+ years of anonynimity though.
