I've never seen a grebe fly...all the ones I see swim around, then dive and pop up in the decoys.

When I was in high school we had some bone head computer class and we had to make a video using some program. Me and my buddy's move was called kill shots. The opening scene was a bird (I won't say what kind) floating in the water after being shot. Then country boy can survive started playing and it was 10 minutes of death and destruction. After our teacher watched it he laughed and said, ok don't show this to anyone else, EVER!!!!

This guy I know (cough cough) 5-6 years ago just started duck hunting. He was under the impression that "jump shooting" was legal as long as the motor was off. He and some other dumb friends would chase down "coots" off the water, get beside them while in fly, kill the motor then shoot them.

This "unknown" guys best friend (who was an experienced hunter) called and asked how the morning was going. The "idiot newb" said "Ah, we got bored over the decoys so we're jump shooting coots" the best friend "Damn, I've never ever seen a coot on the river, how ya'll sneaking up to them?" rataded new guy "They're every where, we're just chasing them off the water, killing the motor and piling them in the boat."

Best friend "Thats illegally shooting from a moving vessel, and those are commorants, plus you are only 1/4 a mile from the USCG stationed boat....GTFO of there." :o

We used to chase them years ago but we didn't have to shoot them we would chase them with an air boat on the mud flats and run them over and stack them in the boat

Buddy was working the dog on another bird so I had to chase mine down river. He took the blow at about 10' before he would have hit water deeper than my waders.

I don't know what to think of that one. It's funny, but kinda wrong to play with the dead birds like that. I'm still laughing at it tho.
