It's not rocket science...look at the map again.

It's the minerals in the soil. You can almost see the major river valleys highlighted in red.

Shot a huge doe one year. Walked a certain ditch many times for pheasant. Noticed deer tracks in the ditch and started looking each time thru.
The ditch made a C shape in a 200 acre field. There was a fence at where the water came out of a culvert. Made the field kind of like a large pen.

Noticed a fat doe would slip out of the ditch and shed stand in the center of the field watching me. Happened many times.

One day it was like a blizzard. Went out to try for pheasants and bumped into that doe eye to eye. She was walking the ditch in the bottom the opposite direction.
I shot her three times up close. Once in the head.
She ran off and I stood there beating myself up. Stupid stupid stupid.

She ran about 70 yards stopped and fell over dead. She was fat cuz she never left that corn field. Estimated she was close to 300# field dressed. Very large deer here in Illinois. That doe was an example. She tasted real good too.

No one cares about does.
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I live, I will kill you. If I die, you are forgiven." Such is the rule of honor.

Eric, do you request bull meat when you buy a steak and ask how long its horns were?

I don't eat beef. I do request spur length on each chicken though

Got this for one mallard duck. My dad wanted duck bad. Better put four more in his freezer.

All this deer talk. Was planning on this being jerky. Smoked deer is really good. Smoke it tomorrow. Getting it lit is a pita.

Is it ok to go to buffalo wild wings?
I'd like to know. Kind of have a hankering for some of them spicy little boneless tasty pieces of chicken and would drink a beer or two. What kind of beer should I get in order to avoid giving my blessings to HSUS?

I know that Dos Equis's Most Interesting Man supported Obama, so I wouldn't buy that.
I think Shiner Bock is a safe bet.

That's ok. I haven't been there in at least 5 years.
Tend to stay at home and cook for myself. Saving my truck for hunting. (miles)
It don't move unless money is involved or duck hunting.
Sadly it stays parked almost all the time after duck season. Nobody wants to pay me what I think I'm worth.
They'll hire cheap Mexicans instead so...I don't do shit. Not going to supply a truck, tools, and an experienced carpenter for any less than a living wage. How much does it cost to rent a pickup for a day? Tool rental?
I'm supposed to supply that shit for free?

Now...which asshole president opened the borders and caused this to happen?
Hint: Republican

AW GOD DAMNIT. Set my BBQ sammich down to type and Milo disappeared it.
At least I got to eat most of it. lol

My point is that most places you buy from support things you disagree with, yet you still go there.
