I imagine gadwallgetter to be the "redheaded stepchild" of the spoony family on account of his name being different than that of his brothers.

I didn't lump myself in with those two sh*t.stains name wise because of my love of gadwell and my total distain for the northern shoveler...... lol

Eh, it wasn't that bad. He got relocated and my family got a new car out of the deal. So it worked out.

The only reason he doesnt have a spoony name is because he feels to ashamed when he shoots multiple spoonys unlike the rest of us who would gratefully take home 7 green headed spoons.

On slower days I happily shoot them. But if other birds are flying I prefer to shoot and eat those. Dont get me wrong wrapped in bacon or in a taco spoonies are great. But just thrown on the grill. Na, no thanks.

I think its a great idea to have all the west coast guys try and put a few hunts together every season. I always like a change of pace every now and then.
