Mojos were around before spinning winged mojo decoys.

As a boy scout I was fascinated with doing things the old-fashioned ways.
Made char-cloth and started fires with flint and steel etc. It's incredibly easy if you have all the materials in front of you.
This is an Australian video but it pretty well covers the hows and whys of starting fires the old school way.

Best tip ever? Don't trip and fall in cold water.

Grit your teeth and grow some hair. It only stings for 5 minutes.

Done it. A couple times, actually. Most recent was 25 degrees out with 20 mph winds and it was just my dog and me. Fell backwards in 3.5 feet of water 5 minutes before shooting time. Stayed for three hours and had one of the best hunts that season.

When you fall in over your head with ice on the water it fucking sucks. I don't care who you are, 20 degrees in your underwear while you are wet is cold.

I know all about it. I almost got hypothermia doing a few polar bear plunges this last winter. I did a plunge when it was -20. The water was warming than the air, still cold though.

I wouldn't know about hypothermia. I have the blood of a tiger and the hide of a grizzly.

Not saying the water was 20 if that's what your getting at. top layer of the water was at most 32 though.
