you ride a bus to work?

Different worlds man

So it's like in the movies where people walk to work, take buses, or cabs? Genuine big city stuff!

I live in the city in a neighborhood. My employer pays for my monthly pass. I work Downtown. It costs almost $250 per month just to park. Now add in gas and wear and tear on the vehicle and that is huge savings. Plus, it only takes 5 minutes longer to take the bus door to door; 25 minutes living 4.5 miles from work. I catch the bus into town 1/2 a block from my house. The bus drops me off right across the street from my house on the way home. Taking the bus is less haste and at times entertaining.

When I was in college the parking was $50/week minimum so I bought a cheap Wal-Mart bike and parked my pickup just off campus so I didn't have to pay. $100 bike paid for itself in two weeks.

If you left a little sooner you could walk to work and still have time for a coffee when you got there.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams

You must've never been to Pittsburgh. It's uphill both ways.

They were all out today. It's the sabbath. They walk around in gangs from young to old, the entire extended family, segregated of course. Women are unclean. I had to take the other bus home today cause I got stuck at work. This bus goes thru the part of town where he universities are. The Asians were everywhere like a plague of mice scurrying here, there and everywhere.
