Hey fellas looking to get into carving my first decoy. I just have a few questions what would you guys recommend for me as a beginner are there kits i can purchase, and also what type of carving tools are needed? Is there anything special or just your basic carving chisel?

Depends what you want to carve and how. Do you want to carve cork, wood or foam? Do you have a dremel or other power carvers or do you want to use a knife and rasp? Willie at theduckblind.com has a lot of good info about getting started and also sells kits and other supplies. If there is anyone local you may even be able to take some lessons. Post up your work as you go we'd like to see your work.
