Soft crab sandwiches are awesome. Whenever we go croaker fishing, we buy a couple flats of them from the peeler sheds, so we can fish all day with one, then cook the other flat when we get home. Love those things.

You use peeler crabs to catch croakers?

Yep. Cut them into quarters with a pair of scissors, and hook through the knuckle where the leg meets the body.

Looks like a lot of Redfish and black drum bait to me. After eating so many Dungeness Crabs, Blue Crabs seem like a lot of work for very little reward. Great bait though.

What's going on in that picture? Are they in some kind of tank or how did they get stacked up like that out of the water?

10-4, I was wondering. Usually they only stack up out of the water like that if the oxygen level is really low.

Boiled 4 dz of them Sunday night. They finally showed up in numbers on the causeway, and we catch them the old school way with a string and bait and weight, while fishing for flounders. Love those fuckers!!!!!!
