Yeah buddy! The Stones started as a cover group for all the old blues musicians in southern US. They never gave that up, and did some pretty amazing things to pay their respects to those men. They then took it to their own level, which turned into the greatest (without a doubt) rock and roll band in the world. The influence they have had on every rock band after is not even recognized fully yet. You can ask almost any popular rocker who their biggest influence was and one name comes up. Even Leonard Bernstein said that "As Tears Go By" was the greatest song of the 20th century! God give us a few more years, please.

I had only heard Willies version. That song always puts a lump in my throat. My first dogs (actually my folks) was a pair of labs that were brothers. Named Poncho and Lefty. The 3 of us were inseparable. Lefty got hit by a car. Poncho moped around for a night or two and then dug under the fence and ran away. Drove around with my dad for a month looking but we never found em.
