NO TRAVELING DECOYS ON DA BARGE

Postby jehler » Thu Jun 19, 2014 10:30 am

I'm sick of the bad juju that comes with a traveling decoy, any traveler brought within my presence will meet with dire consequences, please consider this before sending any decoys to brew ;)

Nice.
You must've taken all it's luck.
I think it also came down to us from Michigan and brought the unpredictable weather with it. There was a lot of ducks out there, but you couldn't see the damn things til they were right outside the decoys. Freakish fog storm that lasted two days. Third morning out there one hell of a thunderstorm rolled in as we were just about to set up. That sent us scurrying to the boat ramp where at least one of us almost got killed. It was an awful hunt with that piece of crap.

That red duck I hunted over for a few days worked just fine.

We ended up with over 50 birds over the Gull. It was the only decoy we had out.

While you cant see the rambler I assure you it was there. You've probably never seen this photo before, no big deal, just a little pond jump.

We would have nailed them that 2nd morning but someone was afraid of a little wind...

Fresh out of a mucky swamp, much like that one picture I've seen you post. Everything is brown here unfortunately for the first week.

It was either Sammy or Olly! That or Mose's calling...
