The times that have bit me in the ass was when I was going somewhere in the middle. Going slow and get stuck its easy to get unstuck, going fast and you can usually carry over the "problem", but mid-speed is just enough to get in trouble. Theory of medium I guess.
Yea I hit it wide open. I had been through that same patch of grass just two weeks ago. Water was just a few inches higher though. I agree if you go slow you can tell when you're about to get stuck and can usually avoid the situation.
Doesn't matter though because according to Rex my 20ft 1400lb all metal boat wasn't "truly" stuck.
