Amazon.com delivery drones

Check it out
http://www.foxnews.com/tech/2014/07/12/ ... -packages/

"In a letter to the FAA dated Wednesday, Amazon said it is developing aerial vehicles as part of Amazon Prime Air. The aircraft can travel over 50 miles per hour and carry loads of up to 5 pounds. About 86 percent of Amazon's deliveries are 5 pounds or less, the company said.

"We believe customers will love it, and we are committed to making Prime Air available to customers worldwide as soon as we are permitted to do so," Amazon said in the letter."

This would be pretty cool but I could think of a million thing to go wrong from getting caught in a thunder storm to some asshole ordering a package only to shoot the damn thing out of the sky when it dropped the package off. It's a shame that this wouldn't work mainly because people cant be trusted. But neither can Amazon they could be using these drones to spy on us !!!!

Another article I read said that when you agree to take delivery by drone that you are financially responsible to what happens to the drone in flight and might even have to put a down payment on it that would be refunded to you after delivery. It's a gimmick we're sill decades away from stuff like this being a reality, but they gotta start somewhere.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams

Yeah you're right. They gotta take away all the guns first so we can't shoot them down.

How many would be shot down by others just to see what they had? It'd be like a piñata!
