130 yards and running through the woods. Had about two feet between trees to shoot through. Probably one of the largest bucks I've ever seen on our property.

I shot preseason out to 375 yards accurately. If he had been standing still he would be skinned and in the cooler right now.

JGUN I saw some doe but no bucks, stupid anterless rule.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams

Guess you'll have to wait until bow season so you can shoot a doe then.

Nobody makes me bleed my own blood, nobody!
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I live, I will kill you. If I die, you are forgiven." Such is the rule of honor.

Wow, really Ben Stiller? I hate you guys, lol.
Considering its been 4-5 years since ive shot a buck(shot lots of does for meat in between), i wasnt lettin this one go, and for once it didnt run off. Seems like ive always had to track them, this one dropped right where the pic was taken.

You can make them drop with heart shots. I've only nailed 1 deer in the neck, and I've only ever had 3 deer not just drop on the spot. 1 was with a 20ga slug, another was a straight on shot, and the last was a rushed shot that ended up being a gut shot and a lost deer.

I suppose using a 30-06 kind of helps knock them down though :D

A .35 Remington makes a .30-06 look like a .22. They fall like somebody flipped the gravity switch to "yesterday".

My favorite was when a buck spun around to go back up the hill, but that's all he got was turned around. He then, stiff as a board, just rocked backwards onto his back. Legs went straight into the air, then onto his side.
