Forum Moderators and Other Moderators.

Place for general and off topic Waterfowl talk.

New members are often given the business too soon, and should be given a longer period before tasting them like a regular.

Saying that Hawaii, and adult language are or should be the differences (what makes WFF more appealing) from other sites isn't what most of us were looking for when we came over. The 13 rules over here enforced to a T makes it very, very similar to 103 rules elsewhere adult langue/Hawaii or not...

I told Olly that I'll support consistency. If it means telling you douche nozzles off, and more mod talk, I can deal with that. Has to be consistent though, not every 3 months and it matters.

In the end, it's Olly's sandbox...we just play in it.

You can stop kissing ass now! With all the job openings around here and you still haven't gotten a call, I would venture to guess it isn't going to happen.

you're right because they act under the "what's in the best interest of the forum" doctrine

That it happens, or that it's being enforced?

That it happens, show me a thread where a newb, one that wasn't a douchenozzle, asked for info and was sidetracked with 100 posts, or even 20

It's amazing to me that any of us made it to 50 posts on the Internet, my god it was stressful those first days worrying about wether someone was going to post something that wasn't directly related to my question, I ran from 4 different forums before I found dhc, if it wouldn't have been for that helpful guy named clutchfan and jrockncash to give me a warm

When I got offered modship I turned it down. Just wasn't for me. Do I regret that decision? You better believe I do. After flint got burned by the mod bug I stopped being so raw about it cuz I thought wow that could have been me there lying there in the streets like that guy in ferguson Missouri.

I almost forgot, there was another comment awhile back regarding newbs having to sort through 15 different threads on the same topic. That is BS. I can vouch for being one of said newbs, and even as somewhat "veteran" now, it was pretty rare that I would actually search a forum if I was looking for an answer. Rather I would just create a new thread, ask my question and that would be that. For the most part, it is the newbs themselves who are making these "problematic" redundant posts, which eventually, and usually rather quickly, fall to the bottom of the forum and die.
To achieve success, one must possess dedication, passion and a boatload of decoys.

The simple fact i was offered a paid moderator job at one point has nothing to do with this thread. I turned it down and spit at my computer. Id lock this thread if I was mod just so i could start the same thread with a II in the title. Im sick and tired of sending pms only two people can see. I want to see every PM period. this website is about ducks and geese and calling them in. Subsequently other related topics arise so fucking what. I say if you cant read a damn language why are you on the internet? Pictures? Then fine, look at pictures, but dont try to portray a message if its dumb, incoherent, rabble-rousing bologna. Just save it for when your mom comes home.

Just checked the mod roster and notice some new names. When and where can I find the resignation/inauguration of former/new mods?
