I live in the city and on the flight path of the airport so whenever there is an event and military or vintage military aircraft are involved, they fly right over my house. Every summer, I see B17s or B-25s or B-29s or P-51s unexpectedly appear in the sky overhead. More rare is when a squadron of the Blue Angels or a stealth fighter fly by. Pretty cool nonetheless.

I've actually never seen our only stealth fighter fly, ever.

Years ago, they used to have an air show at an old base not too far from me. The last year they did that, they were supposed to fly the stealth fighter. We got to walk within about 20-30 yards of it, blocked by the guards stationed at attention encircling the jet.
We were told it wasn't going to fly because it had a bad tire and they didn't have a spare! No kidding!
I said, "Multi-millions of dollars of technology and it's just as vulnerable as my pick up out in the parking lot!"

I actually saw a stealth fighter flying/refueling over Sioux City IA when I was in college. Pretty fucking cool.

15s are about as loud as it gets. So glad I rarely have to deal with them.

The sound they make is pretty intimidating, actually.
