That just shows how fare I am. I have literally little to no chance of winning this week. Although, I do know where about 65 canvasbacks were sitting last night. Too bad the lake is not open to hunting.

Yup. First year. It's really nice not having to worry about shooting a hen. I had a lot of hunts that got screwed up because we killed our hens at first light then had to try and pick out all drakes with no mistakes for the rest of the hunt. Gets frustrating.

Bout fuckin' time! My last year up there, we hunted opening morning with the game warden (still a little drunk, no sleep, good times). Similar thing happened, we busted the first bird that came in early, suzie. No problem, still 3 suzies left. Group of mallards decoys, and appears to be mostly suzies, right as they flare up in front of us, myself and the warden catch a drake in the flock, and I roast him before he gets a chance. We are both laughing about me beating him to the punch while the dog retrieves the bird, we throw it with the other bird and go on about our hunt. About 20 minutes later, he grabs the bird, looks at it and says we have to be careful, we have two suzies. Wish I had gotten a picture of it, because the bird was eclipse as fuck, yellow bill and all, but he was convinced it was a suzie and I wasn't about to argue with the warden. Needless to say, my shooting was pretty limited the rest of the day.

He said "we"?!?

Group limits, says the warden. Interesting.

Group limits, says the warden. Interesting.

Yup. Definitely said we, but I damn sure wasn't shooting at anything resembling a hen! I woulda bet my paycheck that it was a drake, probably outta learn to vent sex just in case it ever comes up again.
