Did my witty welcome to Jameson get censored or did I have one of those moments the old guys allegedly have?

Joined the forum earlier this week. I'm looking to get started hunting waterfowl next year for the first time. I've got a lot of learning to do about field hunting. Saving up for a nice shotgun and I'll spend most of next summer shooting and reloading to get ready for hunting. Currently have a single shot 20ga, so I need something more suited to the task.

Currently I hunt small game limited to rabbits, squirrels, and ruffed grouse. I'm not that good of a deer hunter but I hunt about half the season only. I reload for 12ga and 20ga on MEC 600JR presses (plus some metallic on a Dillon 1050).
New to waterfowl hunting. Looking to start next year, in 2015.

Ducks Unlimited member in the Copper Country chapter.

Hi folks,
I go by Flyway Stalker, the boys and I mostly hunt Eastern Nebraska and East Central Kansas for Ducks and Canada's, but are not afraid to load the trailer up and head in any direction. I also enjoy Walleye fishing and have begunn to dabble some in Fly Fishing for Trout.
I'm in the process now of training my year and a half Black Lab Susie who is progressing well, her 1st retrieve was on a beautiful hooded merganser my son shot over a water setup. She's my first female lab and I'm finding her much more reponsive to training than those 100 + LB males I've had in the past, great retrievers but hard headed.

I have been involved with Ducks Unlimited for several years and currently hold the position as Nebraska's East District Zone Chair.

I joined this site in search of some no B.S. hunting reports and good conversation about the sport we all love and live for.
My theory is there's no shame in getting skunked, we all have more of those days than we care to remember, so dont get on here and tell everyone about a false limit you shot. the pupose of these reports is to help everyone track bird movement and predict where the next best place to hunt will be.

Good Hunting!

Welcome. Ricks log sounds right up your ally but the rest of the site has a bunch of BS. Hang around you may find you like the way things go around here.

First of all, welcome to the new guys. I too came here looking for a site that was different from the rest. There certainly is some BS going on here (in a good way though), but this site seems to have fewer know it all ***holes. I enjoy the Greenhorn Forum. I can post a rookie question and not be made to feel like an idiot. The guys here are pretty cool thus far.
