Haha, what can I say I'm a bit impatient with that magical white box under the tree! My wife is yet to realize how much she will be cussing you. Love this blade.

You guys need to get with it and win that bird and trout knife!! Amazing knives.

I'm just bitter because I only have one present to open. And it's in a white box. And I already know what it is.

Young guide who went with me this morning with our Christmas loot:

My four went to a fellow who's hunting days are behind him but just yesterday asked me to think of him if I ever had an extra mallard or two. Said he hadn't "seen anything so pretty in twenty years."

A dozen Avian-x pintails. They are good looking decoys but they are extremely flexible. I'm interested to see how well they hold up.

I'd take flexible over brittle any day of the week

They are definitely softer than most decoys, but whether that makes them more durable or not (I think), remains to be seen.
I still think their mallards look better than the Dakota mallards...

My only concern with the flexibility is if they will get smashed when piled in the boat with 400 others. I hope they stand the test of time because rumor has it they will be producing wigeon and gadwall decoys for next year, which I'm certain will look a hell of a lot better than G&H wigeon.

Christmas loot!

Postby Woody » Fri Dec 26, 2014 8:36 pm

Few hundred in Cabela's gift cards
New work out shoes (I'm breaking in as we speak)
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1419644072.540963.jpg

A pocket knife
An action cam
Rabbit fur cap
New pocket knife
Blind bag (back pack style)

The Cabela's cards will become new copper trolling rods.

Nice to see Bark river Knives again. The gentleman worked for Marbles until the latest hic-up. Do they have sharpening service?
