Two of my favorite birds. I would have rather been on the water but spent the morning curled up next to the 6ft blonde Doc I've been seeing.... so not really toooooo bad.

In all my years of hunting I've never had a shot on a Canvasback, it's the one bird that my life wont be complete until I get one.
Very nice start to the new year.

I shot my first drake Canvasback last year on this forums inaugural No Coast Hunt hosted by Jarbo down in Kansas. I'd shot a hen can the year prior in North Dakota, but that was the first drake. I jumped another drake can this year off of a golf course pond in Northeast Nebraska, that dude was LOST!
