Friendship among Women:

Postby Throbbin Rods » Wed Jan 14, 2015 1:06 pm

Friendship among Women:
A woman didn't come home one night.
The next morning she told her husband that she had slept over at a friend's
house.
The man called his wife's 10 best friends.
None of them knew anything about it.
Friendship among Men:
A man didn't come home one night.
The next morning he told his wife that he had slept over at a friend's
House.
The woman called her husband's 10 best friends.
Eight confirmed that he had slept over, and two said he was still there
People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Different strokes for different folks....
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams

Don't bother. Flint and I have has this debate many times. I'm like Dan I could never marry someone that wouldn't let me do my thing and I her. But the flip side isn't bad either if that works for a couple.

Different strokes makes the world keep on keepin on.

I think you've really missed the point in our conversations but this is a thread about a joke. It's a pretty funny joke too, but it should say a boyfriend and girlfriend. If your married and not coming home at night and then lie about where you were then maybe you shouldn't be married...

I think absolutes like that aren't universal for relationships. What works for you might be a nightmare to another man and vice versa.

I think the definition of a nightmare marriage would be one where you have to lie to your wife about what you are doing. Either you have something to hide or you are married to an horrible woman. That seems pretty absolute.

Or maybe it is both.

Are you a liberal, flint?

I'm not sure you could find someone more conservative than spinner.

Either you got me confused with someone else or you only recall one of the few small areas where I don't agree with the typical conservative position. On most issues I am probably the right wing of the right wing. There are some where I am hard core libertarian (e.g., drug laws).

Not quite sure how I managed to fool you, but if you are not a liberal then we probably agree on most things. It's probably that I'm not big on the amen posts, but am quick, probably too quick, to post when I disagree about some particular point.
