First duck season

Postby Capttrae » Mon Jan 12, 2015 5:37 pm

Just wanted to say thanks to y'all for puttin up w/ some prolly pretty stupid questions. But it's been a great duck season, got to take my son on his first duck hunt and see him kill his first Bufflehead drake, I got to kill
3 wood duck drakes, 1 mallard drake, 2 mallard hens, bought about 8 dozen decoys, 10 calls, waders, and my Benelli. Hunted w/ some old friends, met some new ones. Just all in all had a great time. Learned a whole lot from y'all and other ppl. Now I've got one more waterfowl hunt after this hitch that's for Snow, Speckle Belly, and Blue geese up in Ar. Then it's time to break out the box calls, mouth yelpers, and pot calls and start huntin the Longbeards, sheds, Morels, and crappies during the spring and start getting summer plots planted, mineral stations refilled and going, and constantly work on my duck calling.

That's Awesome bro!!! Congrats on a great first season. By the way the only bad question is the one not asked. I been hunting these things for 20 plus years and this was rough one for us. I had to ask some questions this year....aint no shame!!!
