Painting decoys

I was wondering if any of y'all had tried to repaint decoys. What it is, I've got a ton of wood duck decoys that I'd like to repaint to look like Buffleheads. Thx y'all.

Black, white, and brown spray paint. Do them in stages (paint all the black first on 6 or so decoys, then the white, etc). Painting with two cans at once will get you shades of gray and dark brown for the hen.

I use Ace hardware brand "stop rust" or rustoleum oil based. Flat white and flat black. Mix the two to get gray for the bills and hen.

Drakes black and white.

Hens black with gray chest and a little gray on the lower sides. White mark on the head.
