Wife texted me all excited. She's been trading honey for eggs and the egg guy brought in some duck eggs.
Should be interesting. About one out of every twenty of his chicken eggs is a double-yolk.

They're smaller than chicken eggs.
Came with a story. Wandering ducks just starting to lay make small eggs or something.
Dude says it's like an easter egg hunt every day because they wander and lay eggs. lol

My older kin always spoke of duck eggs as "rich," which I thought might more correctly be "strong". Might like them fine now, but they were a bit much for me as a child.

When I was a kid we raised some quail to train dogs and ate a lot of quail eggs but never any ducks.
Might make some pasta with the duck eggs or try them fried. I like the yolks and supposedly duck egg yolks are the rich part.

That's a good translation. I've found some free range chicken eggs that are too "rich" for me. It's all about what they eat or what they're fed.

Growing up on a dairy farm, the lush spring clover had us stop drinking milk until it was gone.

Have been tempted to enter the egg market.
Quail eggs are freaking 6 bucks a dozen. We raised Coturnix when I was a kid and they make serious amounts of eggs.
A four by eight rabbit cage full of them kept us in eggs all the time.
