It was no secret that I was duckinatorizer. I posted twice and they didn't catch it.
There is a small group of close friends trying to get me to use the fuge.

Figured out what was wrong with my boat motor. Nuthin. The lake is even lower than last time. No wonder I was hittin shit where shit should not be. It's 3.5 feet low.

Sorta glad this all happened. Needed it. Was bummed about real world stuff. Got a lot going on this year. Too much for one guy to handle.

For instance the farm house needs a roof. Haven't done a roof in close to 20 yrs and can't find my roofing nail gun. It's always something. I found a whole box of nail coils. There is hope!

Getting the roof stocked is gonna be a pita.
It's a big ole house with an addition that's freaking 1200 sq ft.
I'm just doing the low roof. The high one is sorta steep and way the fuck up there.

Here's some pics. That house is YUGE and has been abandoned for close to 20 yrs.
I want it saved badly. First the roof, then the furnace, then the plumbing. It's a wreck. The inside pics will make you puke.

That's a before picture. I tore down all the vines. The roof I'm talking about is on the other side. One story and is a walker. Probably 4/12 pitch. Maybe 5/12. The part in the picture is old. Built around 100 yrs ago. You can tell by how they "hacked" the plumbing in. By the back door is where the ice box used to be. Very cool old house. The addition with the leaky roof was built in the 50's. Once i get it cleaned up I'll post pics of the sun porch that has a bar-b-q built in where it vents thru the fireplace chimney. It's never been used. I want to cook on that sucker BAD.

The neighbors for blocks around have been coming up and suggesting it needs landmark status because well...the farm connected to that house was a whole section and is part of the city now. It's surrounded by city. The other house that goes with it is about a block away. Yeah...the farm had TWO freaking huge houses. The other one is nicer.

The old oak tree. That crack in the bark is a signal that it's dying.
The brite side is the wood from that tree could heat my house for 4 or 5 winters. The picture is weak. That tree would take four of us to reach around it by joining hands. Maybe 5. It's possibly the largest living oak tree in this state.

I live about a half-mile away in another of "the family homes".
As they say in AA..."I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be". (Yeah, I went to some meetings)
I could move into the big one but the utilities are extreme. Think $600/month.

I'd like to move in, make it into a bed and breakfast. With the university here...football games, basketball, etc there is a demand for extra rooms. Never enough hotels. Plus I want to make it like this:

There is money in having a greenhouse and growing sprouts and stuff like that.
The shed...is HUGE and could support a quail farm. Quail eggs are 50 cents a piece.
Organic....this city is full of them ppl who'll pay premium for stuff with bugs on it. (proves it's organic)

Have been bummed about being hopeless about how to get from A to B. Talked to some ppl and there is hope.
PPL will support something good and true.
Them honey bees...lit a fire inside me and I really want to pioneer urban farming but it's already been done.
It's just too good to let it rot.

Oh...that house is in the ghetto as well. Just on the edge tho.

It has been painful to watch helplessly as that old house fell into disrepair after being abandoned in 1997. (yeah...crazy)
One of the parents has horder disorder and it's chronic. That house is stuffed full of treasures. It's like a time-capsule.
As a general contractor I see gold in there. Maybe I'm trippin' 50:50.
