it will make braiding them a lot quicker. you only need one for the line that you have to keep pulling through

a net needle? i have about 30-40 of them. the "H" or "loomis" style needle like is in the pic on that site.
a lanyard? i've made a couple. same braid as you did, not having to pull that 30' back and forth 100 times makes it quicker.
