Its probably some "knock-off". I get it for 10 cents/foot, what are you paying?

I get my stuff from an army surplus place near where I live and I think I payed $20-$25 for either 500' or 1000'. Don't remember cause that was last January.

What do you get for them out of curiosity. When I was making them, I was putting them in a friends sporting goods store - I got 15 and he sold them for 20. Thats how I paid for that acrylic goose call in my pic.

I don't have them in any stores as of yet but I sell them for $20. And on that note I'll send you a pm AJ.

go to mike keller's and get one of these http://www.memphisnet.net/product/3251/needles_loomis

it will make braiding them a lot quicker. you only need one for the line that you have to keep pulling through

I've actually looked at those for that very reason and it the way I do it. I only have 30' to pull through so it doesn't take to long to braid them. It's the burning the knots and little braids that takes time.

a net needle? i have about 30-40 of them. the "H" or "loomis" style needle like is in the pic on that site.

a lanyard? i've made a couple. same braid as you did, not having to pull that 30' back and forth 100 times makes it quicker.
