What do you consider cold?

I'm hoping we get temperatures with a minus sign in front of it.

Long range forecast for us is a lot of day time highs in the 40's and rain. The worst  weather imaginable.

I hope it gets cold as hell so I can hunt ducks, but if not I hope it warms to the 50's and at least dry so I can hunt deer. 40's and rain, I'm just sitting home bitching.

Anything below 40. I like hunting in a light jacket, with warming later in the morning. I don't like the abominable snowman feel.

Minus sign stuff is a definite no-no.

We had a guy from Louisiana hunt with us last year when the high was about 10F. He pretty much hugged the heater all morning.

I've have the clothes for the extreme cold, I just don't like the restriction that comes with it. It's cumbersome, and I hate wearing gloves while hunting.

I don't wear gloves no matter how cold it is. You can't blow a call. I have a muff with hand warmers in it for when it is cold. Also need to remember to put your calls back inside your jacket so they are not frozen when you try to blow them the next time. Just use the gloves for setting up and picking up.

I guess I'm used to hunting that way because it doesn't bother me.

I've been living and hunting down here all of my life. Cold is 30's, extreme cold is 20's. Neither happen very often, or for long durations, especially as of late.
