I've never done an ounce of trapping. Your stories make it seem exciting, I'm gonna have to give it a go one of these days.

Otherwise, it's sort of like a mini-hunting trip every set or location. Like when you go hunting, you wonder "will I get any birds today", or "will I see a deer today", only multiplied a lot. Each different location I go to each day is like it's own "hunt", with the same feelings- did I get anything, do I have a smart digger I need to try and outwit, do I have a flipper, and so on. Right now, I have 4 locations set, so each morning is like having 4 days' worth of duck hunts rolled up into one hour, if that makes sense.

No, because I don't like toting around waders or hip boots. And most of the ditches are too small for drown sets. They're just something that aren't real "convenient" down here- we have no rocks, and the land is flatter than piss on a plate, so anyplace that has water usually has a bottomless mud bottom. Offhand, I don't know anybody that uses drown sets. Muskrats sets around here are 99% 110s, anyway.

assateague wrote:Yeah, supposedly quite a bit more. But it's still depressing to see all your shit gone. And I'm a "one big check", instead of a "two smaller checks which are actually more than the one big check" kind of guy. Stupid I know, but that's the way it is. But we'll see.
