When I was 20 I lived with my brother Chris, even though I was pulling over a 100k a year then I only worked April thru November and by the end of February we were always broke and depended on Chris' tips from waiting tables for rent, food, smoke and drink. I can't tell you how many times he came home at midnight thirty to me bake in the couch bitching about being hungry. He would loudly proclaim "Johnny, we're eating meat and potatoes tonight and drinking whiskey so smooth the roads are jealous". Inside the grocery bag would be a couple sticks of beef jerky, a bag of chips and a half gallon of Kessler, all would be consumed by morning....
Ahh the good ole days

Life's too short for plastic bottle whiskey. We used to get totally shitbombed trashed off KD in high school and college I gag at the smell of it. Maybe it's cause we ran it through beer bongs....

Used to say "higher than Georgia pines" back in the day.
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I live, I will kill you. If I die, you are forgiven." Such is the rule of honor.

I don't want to bring anything up, but I thought you and your brother were partners? I was lurking your business page and pictures one night. Nice work by the way.

What was funny is that I saw Ninkovich house and I had to go look where Rob Ninkovich was from.

I like that vaulted ceiling in what I'm guess, is the master bedroom. Is it actually TnG or is it something I don't know about? I'm finishing off the last room of my house, which is the master bed. Gonna have TnG ceiling(cathedral) and I wanted to do it in Eastern Red cedar, but can't seem to get it anywhere in 3/4". Lowes carries some closet liner, 1/4" random length crap, but I want the full thickness and length. What you did was pretty tight looking, caught my attention.

And sorry to hijack this sweet drinking thread.

That is clear Douglas fir, great stuff to work with, holds finish better than cedar, I can get it in up to 24' lengths to which is fucking awesome

Alpine Spring here. Didn't like the Noble pils last year, but the Alpine is pretty decent.

I drank Kessler with my wifes uncle when I was a pup. We'd drink a fifth on Friday and each drink another on Saturday. It was the cheapest shit you could buy next to mexican brands. I think like $6-$7 a fifth.
Her uncle would mix it with some sort of grapefruit soda called Fresca.
I drank my like anything, neat.
Damn, funny the things you remember after so many years. The above all transpired in the 70s.
