I love all three, and could probably eat them in a 3-day rotation for about a month.

Substitute sloppy joes for chicken and I have done that for about 5 now.

I'll more than likely just mount it right there in the field.

You better load that bitch up with bacon or something. Seems like it'd be mighty dry.

If you dont overcook it, it's not as bad as you would think. Bacon does make everything better though.

I usually grind in a few pieces of bacon with each pound of venison when it goes through the grinder. Makes for some good burgers, but even then, they can get a little dry. I don't do much burger, anyway. The way I see it, I can pretty much always afford hamburger at the store. Roasts and steaks? Not so much.

I ate way too much of it growing up as a enlisted soldier's kid during the 80's. Even ate MRE's and T rations leftovers from my Dad coming back from the field. Growing up was meatloaf, sloppy joes, sphaghetti and hamburger helper. Lot of cornbread, lots of beans and lots of rice. I don't need crab legs or lobster at every meal, but I prefer to eat something else.

Speaking of food, I'm about to head home for lunch, cook up some shrimp and pull about 4 lbs of deer jerky off the dehydrator.

Next time you make a pot of chili, make a pot of spaghetti noodles, too. Put the chili on that. That's probably my all time favorite, when it comes to spaghetti-like meals. Delicious.

I refuse to ruin chili with any kind of noodle.

Oh man you're missing out. Slow simmered home made red sauce "for at least 12hours" with spicy Italian sausage, meat balls made out of three meats. Veal, pork, and beef. Served over a quality spaghetti or angle hair pasta. Sprinkle a little parm over that. With a glass of merlot and a piece of crusty bread....... OH MY GOD I JUST GAVE MYSELF A BONER!

You're not telling me anything- I usually start by cooking down my own peppers and tomatoes from the garden, then throw in Oregano and Basil from the garden, then throw in some Italian sausage I made from deers I shot. Tastes great, and appeals to my sense of cheapness, since it cost me nothing. Still have about 35 quarts of sauce canned from last year.

All that being said, chili on the noodles is better.

I love the follow up statement Assa, the only chili I have had with noodles is when it is all cooked together. I hate eating it like that, but I will try it your way AT.

Ok I admit Im not big on chilli. All I know is that I prefer it with out beans. I thought tomatoes was a big part of the base sauce for chilli. What's it like with out it? Kinda sounds like taco meat to me.
