Watkins Swamp Bore F/T

Postby rebelp74 » Thu Jan 31, 2013 3:10 am

Looking to trade a burnt hedge Watkins Swamp Bore. Has a few blimishes from being hunted but is in good shape. Prefer to trade for a DRC, C&S or other smaller name duck or goose call. Single reeds only.

I feel like I should try to blow a single reed some day- I never have. Hunting the coastal bays, I have very little need to ever call, but will occasionally mess with my double reed. Easy to run and sounds good, just not much call for it.

I have a DRC sudden stop single reed. Near perfect condition. Got any pics?

When Iused to hunt out of Venice and Katy, I never used a mallard call. It always spooked the ducks.

For me, it takes such a little amount of air to blow, I can't do much on it. I thought it was the call until my friend proved me wrong. I have been using a BG Spitfire for so long now, it's hard to use anything else. That topped with the fact I'm no caller.

Is it a high pitched call? Looks like it would be due to the size.

I would say no. Pretty soft IMO. I can send it to you if you want and you can decide if you want it or not.

How'd you hear about C&S? Just curious is all.

Unless you bought that new, there is a pretty good chance I owned that call.
