X2 on that acid glue remover stuff. Sandpaper the dogs ass with some heavy grit and apply a generous amount of acid. While you're at it, do the gf. If there's any left, I'll buy the rest off you, going through the same thing here. She volunteers at the animal shelter, then fosters dogs and cats indeffnitely

You only hear when I'm complaining, and really who doesn't like animals, but it gets to be too much at times.

You'd freeze your little piggies off in winter.

Goldfish, When that there vacuum cleaning salesman was there, you really screwed up. You should have told him to leave and he would have called his "manager" and got the price down to 750, then you should have said no, and he would have called his "manager" and he would have tried to sell you a "floor model" without the box, for 250, At this point I put on my tennis shoes grabbed him by the neck and pitched his sorry ass vaccuum sucking limp body into the front yard for trying to sell me a 250 dollar vacuum cleaner for 1400 dollars! True story allegedly!

Carpet sucks. Sucks worse with animals. I've done carpet and don't recommend it, but, if you really want it, I would suggest going to a local flooring business...not Lowes. Ask them which carpets they recommend for pets and then just buy the carpet and do it yourself if you are comfortable with it. The smart thing would be the cheapest you can get, because it will be ruined shortly anyways.

I put carpet in a 12x12 room once. Once. The knee kicker had me stove up for almost a week. Fuck that. There are few things I will happily pay someone else to do- cleaning out the septic tank, sweeping the chimney, and laying carpet.

You can go and ask a carpet place for remnants. This would be leftovers from rolls from other jobs. Sometimes enough to do a couple rooms. They'll sell it cheap too to get rid of it.

This is probably the best idea yet. Since, like Eric said, it's just going to get trashed again. Over and over again.

Have never cleaned my chimney. Once I see it build up, I plan a little chimney fire and roast it out. The house chimney doesn't get cleaned either seeing that I can nearly fit down the flue.

I did it once, and it wrecked my shop vac and destroyed the living room with soot. Never again, says I. My chimney sweep is only $130, once a year, so I can stomach it.

This seems like a safe alternative and it's only 30 bucks.
