That is very aggravating for me personally, I can remember my first drink of makers. Cant believe they would cut the alcohol by an average of 3%. TNAL just go buy you some WR now, I prefer it anyway.

What is WR? I've been getting a bourbon kick lately and have been trying a bunch.

They misjudged the market. I will never buy it again as that would reward a flawed (cheapasa) business practice. They should instead raise the price on the established product.

I prefer Makers over Woodford. I was thinking Basil's would be the obvious choice, but it is owned by Jim Beam as well.

I guess I should have worded that differently, WR rare or Double oak. If I am in a severe drinking mood I will buy devils cut.

Mose WR is woodford reserve.

My father once told me don't ever let me catch you drinking Bushmills. Thats protestant whiskey. Our people drink Jameson. For the longest time I heeded his advice then one night I decided to give Bushmills a try because it was forbidden and it was just as good as Jameson. I always enjoyed Irish Whiskey because all my relatives are from Ireland and Scotland but just recently I tried some Basil Haydens and loved it.

I'm now a Kentucky convert but will stay away from Makers Mark. Thats bullshit.

Makers lowered their proof by 6? Dang, that's goofy. Like a dozen eggs suddenly being 11 from now on.

I got a bottle of the new Maple Crown for Christmas. It's tasty.
Then I looked at the proof. It's 80?
How can they sell a product as whiskey when it's not?
I guess somewhere in the fine print it says it's not or something.

The price on a bottle of 100 proof is the same as the 80?
Is the TAX the same? I thought they were just taxing the alcohol.

I'm not really that into calculating the price per ounce of pure grain spirits but I know some people are. They drink ICE HOUSE because it's the cheapest buzz on the $/oz. of alcohol scale. (or was)

Will probably buy some more of that Maple Crown because we both like it.
I've heard that it's incredibly stupid to fuck around with a crazy man's head.

You guys that say just buy a higher proof are really missing the point. It's not about the actual proof, it's the fact they are adulterating my favorite whisky for completely stupid reasons.

You'll throw a fit here, but you know what? You are going to take it, and still buy it, and still drink it. You know how I know this? Because we are all a glutton for punishment. Every one of us. Why is that? Because we are duck hunters. If you say otherwise, then you are also a lier.
