I disagree. Camo is optional on waders. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Cabelas-5mm-Neostretch8482-Neoprene-Chest-Waders-150-Regular/721049.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3Fform_state%3DsearchForm%26N%3D0%26fsch%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3Dchest%2Bwaders%26x%3D17%26y%3D13%26WTz_l%3DHeader%253BSearch-All%2BProducts&Ntt=chest+waders&WTz_l=Header%3BSearch-All+ProductsQH's Paw wrote:I'd say any 5mm neoprenes worth having are gonna run $200 or better. The cheap ones usually don't hold up for many hunts.
These waders have some type of cordura over them. I think you'd practically have to cut them with something pretty sharp to make them leak. They fit loose so you have great range of motion but, I imagine it is the same with most breathables too.

I've been down that road with Hodgman waders. I would send them in each year and they would replace them. I had to have 2 sets, so I'd have something to wear when mine were sent in for replacement. I finally got tired of it and moved on to other brands. The hodgman waders weren't bad but, their boots start cracking and leaking in the second season, every time.
It's kind of tough to compare how waders stand up for others because some guys only hunt from a boat and never really bust through the brush on hunts and some guys always walk in. Also, when a guy says he hunted his waders 3 seasons, you don't know if he hunts 5 times in a season or 50 times.
Pretty much have to have the dura stretch in the 5mm around here and that is why I say the minimum of $200, plain neoprene doesn't hold up to brush busting.

why the hell would you have 5mm waders in la?rebelp74 wrote:The most durable waders I've ever owned are the cabelas dry plus breathables. The worst I've ever had are the cabelas ultimates. I went through 7 pairs of those in 4 years. I like the cabelas warranty. The best neo's I have are macks durahyde 5mm. The only pair of neo's that have made it more than 2 seasons for me.
