By law if someplace has it posted that weapons are not allowed you are supposed to abide by it. That fact that you have a concealed carry carry card implies that you are a law abiding citizen. Hell, my bank has a sign on the door asking that you "remove your sunglasses before entering the branch", but nothing about firearms.

I don't sig quotes, but that's some eligible material right there.

Because of my eloquent use of the English language?

I've never seen one of those signs. Is it posted like a no smoking sign?

Might be dating myself a little, but the price of wings is what pisses me off. We used to go out for 10 cent wing night and $5 pitchers. For $10, you could get 30 wings, a pitcher of beer, and leave a decent tip. I can't even get a dozen wings for that anymore. Cigarettes were $1.10 a pack, and up until 3 years ago, gas prices were the same as 1992.

Get off my lawn.

The ones I have seen are exactly like that, a picture of a pistol with a red circle around with a slash through it.

Honor system I guess.

In KS you can carry anywhere. But any store can print out the "official" sign and it has to be posted at every entrance. If youre caught carrying in a posted store its a warning the second time a fine and the third is a criminal charge I believe. Don't hold me to that, but its along those lines.

I remember buying the whole damn chicken for a buck and a half. There were sacks of wings at the grocer that they couldn't give away! Cooked them down for chicken and dumplins. Cooked the whole pot for almost nothing.

Zackly. Anything close to a buck/wing is absurd. And right down the street theres places doing <30 / wing on certian nights. If its going to be my meal, I can tear up 20 wings pretty easy. If I want to do that at BWW and have a couple beers, were looking at 25-30 dollars.

There's a bar/hipster joint here that advertises $.50 wing Wednesday's, and they think they are throwing out a deal.

Yep, there is nothing in Lawrence that can surprise me anymore.
Johnnys Tavern there has the best wings, b-dub is average at best, my bro lives them though.

Lawrence is a hippie town, a liberal haven within the Kansas borders. Throw in KU with 30,000 students and it gets weird.

Doesn't seem like hipster habitat but I suppose they will inhabit any place.

I'd believe Oregon before Lawrence! But unfortunately it's true Lawrence is a liberal hellhole of Subarus with those silly peace stickers with all the religious symbols as the letters

Tiny little town not far from bieber. I used to make a weekly delivery there to the general store/post office when I worked for a tobacco warehouse right out of high school.

I do not have enough time to write out my extreme displeasure for them. They are over-rated, overpriced, and underflavored. Ive only had one good service there, the rest of the time the wait staff didnt know shit, didnt have any of the beers on the list, or they couldnt tell me anything about the beers. Saying you have budlight, miller, etc and "some other fancy stuff" doesnt cut it. I dont take a liking to having something i made being degraded below budlight, Calling craft beer "other stuff" is like saying Jehler builds trailer parks. They hardly ever get the order right and its never, ever consistent. Ive gone in a couple times and ordered the same thing and always tasted different and different ammount of sauce. What kind of monkey jackholes cant follow a damn recipe, its printed out for them, apparently they cant read.

One of the bartenders at a local restaurant used to be a manger there and said they are terrible at hiring. What they do is when they open a new place, they hire pretty much everone that applies, then start weeding them out with firings/let-go's. Seems like terrible and lazy business plans to me.

Then comes the 2nd ammendment thing, not gonna get started, blood pressure already rising!

Thanks for getting me going! How hard is it to make a decent F'in Chicken wing for crying out loud!

I remember thinking 10 years ago they had decent food and a fun atmosphere to hang out in.

Now, their food sucks and I wouldn't be caught dead watching a game there.

I'm probably just old an curmudgeonly.
