Just ordered 500 feet of cannon fuse. Gonna start making my own "solution" for the groundhogs. Talking to some of the old trappers down at the store, they're inundated with requests to get rid of groundhogs, but they just don't feel like doing it most times. They're retired, and trap mostly for fun, and some spending money, and they say they don't mind the extra money from smoking groundhogs, but generally don't feel like doing it. They charge (average) $12 PER HOLE, and say people don't bat an eye paying it. (I guess when beans are at $14 a bushel, groundhogs can eat up a grand awful quick. Making my own "devices", I've figured I can do it for about $2 a hole plus my time, and it'd be nothing to do 30-40 holes an evening, if I wanted to. Some of the guys over on the western shore charge up to $25 per hole, which is ridiculous if you ask me. But people willingly pay it. I gave them the go ahead to start passing on my number to anyone who asks them, since they don't really want to do it. There has to be some catch- this just seems a little too easy.

Depending on how you do it, I'm sure someone somewhere will want you to be a business, and pay taxes on what you make, and environmental fees, and dispose of the animal carcasses in a specific place...

Hell, they never even come out of the ground. Buried first, then dead. As for the rest, I have no intention of ever letting the state know a damn thing. People can pay cash, or do it themselves. Checks payable to "Cash" will also be acceptable.

I have decided to make a ghillie suit to hunt ducks in this year. They'll never see me.

You should make it out of a wet suit so you can navy seal the ducks.

Sent from your honey hole.

Not sure what MD laws are but in OR, you must

1 Rimfire firearms are allowed for the hunting of forest grouse only.
2 Shotgun: A smooth bore firearm, including muzzleloaders, designed for firing birdshot and intended to be fired from the shoulder,
with a barrel length of 18 inches or more, with an overall length of 26 inches or more.
■■No one may hunt game birds with a shotgun larger than 10 gauge.
■■No one may hunt game birds with a shotgun which can hold more than three shells.
■■It is unlawful to hunt wild turkeys with shotguns larger than 10 gauge or smaller than 20 gauge or with shot size larger than No. 2
or smaller than No. 6.
3 There are no restrictions on the type of arrows or broadheads which may be used to hunt game birds.
4 Hunters may not use any electronic device(s) attached to bow or arrow.

and lets not forget that

Violation of state migratory game bird
hunting regulations is a violation of federal
regulations. Each hunter should consult the
actual federal regulations in Title 50 Code
of Federal Regulations, Part 20.

So, yes it says you can't take game birds, including waterfowl by hand.

all of that being said, the duck commander admits that his first duck was with a sling shot and a sling shot is NOT an approved method of taking game birds in ANY state. Phil Robertson is the same as Jeff Foiles in my book.

So you lump a young poor coonass Phil that most likely shot the duck just to eat with a scoundrel like Foiles?

I forgot about this part. Hell, in MD, there are only two locations where you are even allowed to hunt standing on the bottom. Everywhere else must (technically) be on shore or in a boat. Ridiculous, this state.
