Some friends and I was hunting a place that I had gotten permission to hunt and another guy showed up and decided to hunt there too. I had my decoys out and was calling while the other guy had nothing. Basically we killed every bird that came in and he got nothing so the next thing I know he was gone. I only hunt this place in the morning, so we packed up and left around 11. The next day we went back and set up. It gets to be daylight and there are 20 ga hulls all over the bank. Nobody I hunt with shoots a 20 but the other guy did. So we kept hunting and when we were done picked up all the hulls. One of my friends had the guys number so he called to see if they were that guys hulls. Sure enough they were and he proceeded to cuss me out about how bad of a person I was for what I did the day before and repeatedly threaten me about what he would do the next time he saw me (including getting shot, ass kicked, etc). This guy didn’t have permission to hunt there and I hadn’t run him off but was still mad because all the birds came to me and not to him I guess. This ties in my hatred of the new DD culture, I put in the work and because things didn’t go as they do on TV for the other guy, I was the one at fault. So I lost a little sleep over that one. The other guy is known for getting hot headed and doing stupid things, so the threats were serious to an extent depending on how mad he was.[/quote]

All the refuges here have quotas and once it's full your not getting in until someone leaves so refuges here will cycle through several hundred people on a shoot day. If you do bad in the lottery you count out hunting in the am and depending on number of people you may not get in at all.

O.k so you must have got into one hell of a rice blind next year. I don't know why you always get on your morality high horse before and after the season. But during the season when you are bitching about how shity your field is doing you jump at the chance to go hunt public ground. If you don't want to go hunt public thats fine. I just dont want to hear you bitch about how your private blind sucks the big one ever again. Cuz I dont buy that " I just want a place I can go a have a cup of coffee bullshit". That fact of the matter is that your best hunts in the last 4 or 5 years have all come off of public refuges. Public ground serves a purpose if you dont want to attend the party thats fine, your not invited. I enjoy the fact that I'm a freelance duck hunter. I might not have to work on getting my personal blind all net and tidy for the season of staring at empty sky's. But I'll take solace in the fact that I have a full freezer.................................... So tell me, whats the diffrence of having to sky bust a few birds at the end of the season. Compared to you running a drag on geese every chance you get........... YOUR HYPOCRISY KNOWS NO BOUNDS!!!!
