All the deer I shot just walked in. Except one. He ran in then stopped. That doesn't make em stupid. I guess I don't know what it's like hunting unpressured deer but it takes a lot more than walking into the woods and sitting down to kill a deer around here.

It also requires being still and quiet.

that's all the easy part. It's figuring out where the deer are moving and getting setup on a spot where you can get a shot at them that's the hard part.

Sent from my badazz phone using a badazz app

No, that's the easy part. They are coming to the corn.

if this isn't sarcasm then I understand why you guys think they are dumb.

The same can be said for ducks when corn is invovled. They come in, you kill a few, they fly up circle a few times and right back down for more until the entire flock is gone. Allegedly.

If someone put a 2lb medium rare steak on a plate on your mail box at the same time every day you wouldn't be to careful coming out to grab it after a week either.

If someone put a steak on my mailbox, I damn sure ain't gonna eat. If happened 2 days in a row you better believe I'm gonna be waiting on them the 3rd day and there will be no more steaks on my mailbox.

Better analogy: if you found a nekkid "10" waiting for you somewhere on ship 2 days in a a row, you'd damn sure be looking for her on the 3rd day.

That is a much better analogy. I got what you were saying just making it tougher on you. Deer are still stupid.

My bow hunting career lasted about 48 minutes.

I practiced until I could stack arrows at 25yds. Hung a stand 2 days before season. No bait. Climbed in my tree stand, sat for 30 minutes, pissed off the back of my tree, turned around, saw two bucks looking at me, sat down, both bucks walked in and I shot the bigger of the two.

Took my stand down and never went again.

have you ever deer hunted?

Yes. And I can't count how many times I've blasted a deer with the .35, only to have the other two or three stand there looking around for 10 seconds, then put their heads right back down to eat again. Then when I shoot another, they do the same thing. Until I get tired of shooting, sometimes.

Goldie said they had good senses, but that doesn't make them smart. The Dingo has excellent senses, but she's dumber than a bag of stupid.

I don't think they are necessarily all that smart, maybe an exception for the big bucks, but around here the deer hunting is tougher because of the lack of volume of deer.

On opening day of deer season there is about 7 deer hunters per square mile in Michigan. That's an overall average of 700,000 hunters and a little less than 64 million acres. These deer get smart quick.

it's 1 day here. If you don't get your deer on opening of rifle you got your work cut out for you. Only chance is if it gets bumped or is running a doe.

Nope. RNT would prove their uselessness since they are becoming the new flat bill clan.
