If you buy a quality one that won't happen. I've left mine on for weeks at a time before, still bright as ever.

I don't see the point in spending that much money on a scope without lines and doesn't magnify. It does the same thing as iron sights but eliminates the lining up factor. So I guess they are idiot proof.

That fraction of a second saved can be the difference between life and death on a battle field.

True. But how many people buying ARs now with red dots will every see a battle field? Or have a situation in which that saved time is needed?

Mine is $60, but not one store bought can compare to the hand made/home made ones on my lanyard.

Mine was $39 for a Southern Sentinel goose call, I believe they have went up since I bought mine.

I have only bought three brand new and one was because I had a gift card. There is no reason to spend sticker price on them when someone else will buy one, not know how to use it, and sell it a week later for $30-50 cheaper.

Just replacing my other pogey net. 8' (3/8 mesh). Had one I loved for years, threw on bait last year, pulled tight and the damn rope broke off the swivel. I dove in for it, but never could find it. Luckily the mullet came in about week later and so I didn't need it..until now.

You forget how expensive they are until you need one..they'll hurt your feelings.
