How do you hunt ducks? I have 5x as much shit to carry out when duck hunting than fishing.

And that makes sense AT. I dont carry any coolers fishing. I dont usually drink beer when I fish. I prefer minnows or lures and I release most of my fish...well, all of them.

So I carry one fishing pole, one tackle box.

Carrying decoys in to a field to hunt is more involved.

Jarbo if we go fishing do you want anyting I catch? I normally release mine. Those two big fish that were caught in Canada? Released.

I do the same when pond fishing. One, maybe two 5 footers, very small tackle box, bait, and a couple sodas (no beer when pond fishing). That's it, and there's not much clean up.

After I found out I like catfish, I really need to step it up this year and figure out how to reliably catch those bastards.

Turns out my neighbor is a big time cat fisherman, he has promised to teach me the tricks this summer. I have caught a few, but nothing like what he goes after...most of where he likes to catch them is very near Jarbos house. (undisclosed location in Central Kansas)

I want to catch a blue cat, I have caught every thing but that.

There are some very big fish within a few minutes of my house. I know where a few holes are adjacent to current, may try to catch a few this year.

When I go to the small lakes/ponds to fish I bring one rod. I take a pack of rubber worms, and stuff extra hooks and a couple other lures in there. Stick that in my back pocket and thats it. Can't stand to carry anything.

They release trout into certain lakes around here.
We're allowed to start catching them on April 1.
I'm not quite ready because of all the dang snow. Usually it's a a whole lot warmer by now but all these people bought Toyota Prius cars and reversed the climate change on me.
THANK YOU AL GORE!

I am thinking in the next couple weeks it might warm up enough for me to grab the ole fly line.

Thats fine. We typically argue over who will catch the bait anyway.

Actually my son would love a croaker trip too. I take him to the osyter rocks and after 40-50 fish Im ready to hit the flats and catch some fish for myself. You say when man but if you want some specks and flounder I'd say come on anytime.

Here you can get a recreational hoop net and slap trap license, but the rest have to be a commercial license.

Ok, it appears that it's legal. But no way am I spending $200 for a net. And after reading it, I'm not entirely certain it's legal, only that it appears to be so.

It's nothing to get atleast 70lbs per net per run. I have a commercial license and the nets and license paid for themselves in a week.
