Oh how much do I miss the days when I could sit in the engine compartment and work...

Damn new trucks have way too many things shoved in there.

I was putting new heads in, camel backs, that truck lasted about 50 some miles after that, I fucked something up and cooked it shortly after, sold it for parts for 500, wish I would have held on to it, body was tight

Drop something in one of the cylinders or mess up the head gasket?

I'm not even sure it was related, I think it was a water pump issue, the same
Issue that had caused the cracked head to begin with I imagine, not a lot of memories from then, just some Polaroid moments, who knows

In the late-80's I got a 1980 Full-sized Bronco.(top came off too)
A kid had switched engines from a 6-cylinder to a V8-302 that was NICE!
He wired the alternator backwards and the truck was discharging the battery and kept stranding him. Nobody could figure it out so I bought the truck for $500. A trip to the library and I figured out the problem and corrected it.
Then the guy wanted his truck back of course. I already had the title and plates in my name. lol

On one hand I wish I had that old Bronco but then I remember how it took me 5 tanks of fuel to get to southern Illinois and back. End of wish...POOF!
I've heard that it's incredibly stupid to fuck around with a crazy man's head.

In my late teens and early 20's and even too this day if I see a Jetta I have to look. 8 out of 10 times the driver is a hottie, it's fact!

Maybe it's just a local thing but if that Jetta was paired with a Roxy window sticker I would about break my neck and spill my spitter to catch a glimpse of the hottie driving.

So for you older guys what was the hot gal car of your day?

Damn man. I read the frist part and was thinking around here the car doesnt matter. We look for the Roxy slut stickers. Then I read the rest of your post.

Sounds familiar. My ex was hot I'll give her that. Once we got married she went full bitch. Didnt last long. She forgot I owned a boat and we lived only 40 minutes from the Outer Banks. I had better things to do.

Now spin the question around -- what was the car to avoid?

Fat girls always roll in the geo metro.

In my day it was anything bigger than a Buick Skylark, and even that was pushing it. Seems the bigger the car, the uglier/fatter the chick. Pontiac Sunbirds were good for the slutty types.

This thread makes me laugh. Since the wife and I have been together she has driven both a jetta and a cavilier - but never a geo or fiesta.
