Nothing like it on a fly rod. You ever have any free time towards the end of April-June? I can put you on some down in the Tampa area.

I caught a 27 pound brown when I was little.

Seen an honest 30 on the dock a few years back.

We're forty miles up the shore from where the world record was caught. There could well be a bigger one within a few miles of where I'm sitting.

That's funny, I never even noticed that, when someone is quoted, their image file name shows up in the quotes. Your pictures in the original post I was quoting and replying to don't show that.
Back when I had a drift boat and a sled, I used fish from Feldheimer to Carver. I fished the clack more for salmon. The Sandy and the Columbia is where I've caught most of my steelhead, other than the coastal streams.
I old, fat and lazy now, I just plunk for them nowadays.
Before they put the new fish ladder in at River Mill, I used to bobber fish the springers every year too.
I'm pretty sure all the flatlanders in Portland already know about the Clack.
Now I'm gonna have to figure how to scan some of those old fishing pictures and post some up.

Cool, QHP. It's a great river to have 20 minutes out the door. It gets pounded, but it handles it pretty well. I float/sled that section a lot. McIver, too. It'll be cool to see some of those old pics if you get to scan them.

Here you go Grizz.....pulled this off of Guy Harvey's website. School of 1,000 pound class Giant Bluefin Tuna on the hunt. How'd you like to have a few live baits drifting in their path?
