We have an echo weed whip that had been going strong for 14 years, and my wife treats it like her bitch

I had an Echo for a long time, too. It got run over by a tractor, though, because my wife doesn't put shit away when she's done with it. That's what led me to Lowes and the Troy Bilt. Piece of shit.

I'd hire you. We need an irritation ... I mean irrigation tech. Our 1960s hydraulic push pin system is a nightmare.

That's my specialty  The course I worked at was built in 1967, and was all original (with the exception of the pond pumps) in the late 80s-early 90s when I worked there. For every hour I spent finding leaks, digging up heads, and replacing solenoids, I spent another hour sitting there at one of the damn stations trying to get that fucker to turn on when I wanted to to make sure it was fixed. While getting as few golfers wet as possible in the process. I think it was an old Rain Bird system, if I remember right. Good times.

Wait, scratch that - I signed my 2 older boys up for hunter saftey class last night, so that was 20 bucks. Damned internet, letting me spend money from home.

If you were replacing solenoids you had electric right? Google the toro site pro system with Osmac. That's what my last job had. It lets you dial in individual heads and run times down to the second all from a hand held radio or sit t a computer and run them right there.

Electric system was added on the executive course when it was built in the early 80s, then added to the front 9 later. Back 9 was all hydraulic, although I don't imagine it is anymore.

I'd throw some Cetol on it.
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I live, I will kill you. If I die, you are forgiven." Such is the rule of honor.
