When they first started around here, I hadn't seen a box that wasn't damaged for the first 2 months they delivered to us. The running joke was that UPS and FedEx were in a joint venture(called DHL), that not only would make them look better but, might possibly make the USPS look like a better option too.

You like it? If I don't like this one my wife got me, that thing's going on eBay, and I'm back in the market. I thought about the one you got, but didn't like the idea that the main compartment doesn't zip all the way open.

It's obviously well made and seems well thought out design-wise.
I see your point about the main compartment not zipping all the way open, but it still seems pretty accessible.
I'll snap a couple pics if you want them.

I appreciate it, but I think I'm good. I watched a bunch of videos. It's certainly not the end of the world, but I was torn, since everyone said that it was a very well made and well thought out pack. Just that pocket was a deal breaker. Which was rendered irrelevant by my wife's precipitous actions. But she knows I'm cheap, and will not spend money on myself, which is why she does that sort of thing from time to time (buying stuff for me).

Still no updates in the system for either.

I use usps often, mainly because it's easier and closer. I've always had good luck with them. I vote usps.

I'm with Buffie on this one. I work directly with all 3 of them and DHL. FedEx is in dead last place. They can suck a nut.

I hate Fed Ex. A package can make it into town on Monday, but if the expected delivery isn't until Thursday, they will hold it until then. True story! Happened to me a couple of weeks back with ammo. I got to log in every day and see it still sitting at the facility waiting on Thursday so they could load it in the truck to deliver.

Maybe they were busy making other deliveries.

I just emailed your boss, letting him know how much he could save by using FedEx exclusively. He seemed quite receptive, and said he "knew just the guy to deal with them for me". I thought it was a great idea.

According to our FedEx delivery person, they stay at the facility until the estimated scheduled delivery date, no matter how early it arrives.

Was your FedEx driver's eyes all blood shot? He smokin' something. If there is room on the truck they load it. They aren't a storage company. Same goes for BigBrown. Now the USPS, they might set it on a shelf, just to see how long until someone come's looking, cheap entertainment.

It happens just about every time. Around the same time I ordered the corvette window regulators for my car. I was needing them in as quickly as possible so that my son could use my car for prom. When I ordered them, they showed an expected delivery date on Wednesday, but arrived at the local facility that Monday morning before daylight. They didn't deliver until that Wednesday after lunch. UPS in my area is always on the ball. I don't know if I still have the emails, if so ill post them and let you see that they sit for 2 or 3 days at Fed Ex before being delivered and are usually delivered ahead of time with UPS.

It's coming down to the wire. FedEx departed Martinsburg West Virginia facility at 2115 tonight. USPS arrived at their facility outside DC at 2010. I know for a fact that USPS has to go through another sort facility down here on the Shore, and FedEx will go straight to the delivery facility. Gonna be close.

Here's where they say "package not due for delivery".

I've seen them sit for at least 2 days and delivered on the 3rd because it was the estimated delivery date. It's gotten to the final facility in a day or 2 and had to sit 2 days before ever being loaded on the delivery truck.

I've had good luck with USPS. Delivery driver will carty things to back porch if too big for my box, never had anything wait to be delivered. When shipping a gun, at the pist office they ask me what caliber and why I am getting rid of it, instead of freaking bout a gun like Fed Ex did.

I may have to change my tune about USPS. I bought a hat on eBay the same days as my bow (Wed) and they both shipped on the same day (Thur). The hat will be here tomorrow and my bow isn't supposed to be here until Tuesdays! The hat is coming USPS and the bow UPS.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams

Same here. My shaving kit is "out for delivery" via USPS, and as near as I can figure my pack is still in a FedEx warehouse in West Virginia.

Ok, monkey wrench in the works. Shaving kit showed up today, USPS. Pack was listed as still at FedEx facility in West Virginia, where it had been since last night. Apparently, USPS wins.

But here's the monkey wrench- about 15 minutes ago, status changed to reflect that the pack was transferred TO the USPS from the FedEx facility, so it was waiting there for them to pick up. Apparently, FedEx is now doing this "last mile" crap with USPS as well. I knew UPS was doing it, but didn't know FedEx was part of the program. I still don't like USPS. No idea how they finagled those deals. If I'm shipping something FedEx or UPS, they better damn well be door-to-door FedEx or UPS. Putting it in the hands of those incompetents irritates me.

I love the USPS. Me and our mailman are tight! When it snows I go and shovel in front of our mailbox structure that holds all the neighborhoods mailboxes. He appreciates it.

Plus he rocks short shorts.

I much prefer the USPS to FedEx. Fed Ex wont deliver with out a sig, USPS knows where I want them to leave packages for me.

Only problem is their box keeps getting smashed...
